I just dropped my master's project off at the print shop to be clad in the official red thesis binding.

I just finished grad school.

Using 3D visualizations generated from a GIS in planning a neighborhood streetscape redesign. In short. I got to play with SketchUp and ArcScene and build a virtual neighborhood (after doing some traffic studies for sanity-checking and a public survey to find the issues). The model was then used at a public meeting where we talked about the potential changes. People liked it (which was ultimately the research question).

Coming up with an LJ version of the elevator speech is very odd. It's like I processed it through a de-jargon and de-formality filter.
